MEALS
“On-Campus Housing Participants” will have a special designation on their School nametags that enables them to attend
the “Welcome Dinner” and to eat in the designated Furman dining facility.
“Off-Campus Participants” will have a different nametag designation that enables them to attend the “Welcome Dinner” and to eat lunch in the designated Furman dining facility Monday through Thursday. Off-Campus participants may pay cash for any other meals purchased on campus.
The following meals are included in the “On-Campus Housing
Participant” registration fees:
LODGING
Lodging is the responsibility of the individual School participant and is available both on and off the campus of Furman University.
On-Campus Lodging
North Village Apartments offer units with four private bedrooms with two full baths, a full kitchen, living room and a balcony or patio area.
Bedroom furnishings include a full-sized bed, desk with chair and dresser/hutch for each participant. A sofa and chair are provided in each living room, in addition to four counter stools or chairs in the kitchen and two deck chairs for the balcony or patio.
The kitchen is equipped with a standard electric range and full-sized refrigerator. Waste baskets are provided in the kitchen and bath areas.
Televisions, telephones, microwaves, cooking or serving supplies, radios and wake-up calls are not provided. All apartments are cable-ready; however, if you bring a television you must also bring the coaxial cable.
Linens will be provided, including: two sheets, two washcloths, three towels, one pillowcase, one pillow and one blanket. A bar of soap will also be provided.
Off-Campus Lodging
Special rates for School participants have been negotiated with four hotels located within a short distance of Furman University. Participants who choose to stay off campus must make their own hotel reservations by contacting the hotel of their choice. Participants must notify the hotel that they are attending the South Carolina School of Alcohol and Other Drug Studies at Furman University to ensure that they receive the discounted rate. Each hotel listed has free parking.
