Recipients of FY08 SDFSC Funds

Eighteen local initiatives in South Carolina are sharing in approximately $894,000 in funding provided through the federal Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act for fiscal year 2008.

DAODAS administers the Governor’s portion of these funds allocated to South Carolina through the U.S. Department of Education’s Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Program.

Criteria for funding included a basis in data and research, cost-effectiveness, and measurable objectives for each program.

• Ernest E. Kennedy Center - Moncks Corner, SC
• Fairfield Behavioral Health Services - Winnsboro, SC
• Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission - Columbia, SC
• Keystone Substance Abuse Services - Rock Hill, SC
• LRADAC, The Behavioral Health Center of the Midlands - Columbia, SC
