Sara Goldsby, Interim Director

A native of Wyoming, Sara Goldsby was appointed Acting Director of DAODAS by Governor Nikki Haley in August¬†2016, then nominated as Director of the agency by Governor Henry McMaster on May 23, 2017. With passion around social determinants of health, community organizing, and access to care, she worked in legal and dental practices and hospital case management¬†before moving to the Palmetto State, where she earned her Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health degrees — with an emphasis on health services, policy, and management — from the University of South Carolina (USC). Ms. Goldsby¬†continues to work with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Open School and with faculty on interprofessional education for health sciences at USC.
